Delaware Tech unveils state-of-the-art equipment for technology center

BRIDGEVILL, De. – Officials with Delaware Technical Community College unveiled their new and improved technology center for their students. We’re told the Innovation Technology Partnership Center now has some of the most state of the art equipment. Officials say this new technology will help further student’s experience in their manufacturing automation program. They add that by having the most updated equipment on hand, they’ll be able to give students all the knowledge they need to be successful in their careers.

“That’s our goal. To boost the workforce, boost the economy, have more businesses come, and we’ll just keep turning out a new training on new technology as it gets here. What we like to do is have the latest and greatest technology, so we’re ahead of the game, that way we’re training people for what their jobs are going to be and not being reactive about it,” said the Department Chair of Technical Training, Hilary Valentine.

Officials add that they were able to upgrade their equipment thanks to a grant from the Dart Foundation, which supports projects that enhance education including science, technology, and math.
