Clippers advance to first state title game since 2012

SEVERN, MD- The James M. Bennett baseball team advanced to the 2019 3A state championship game on Tuesday afternoon after a 3-2 win over Governor Thomas Johnson High School of Frederick County.

The Clippers built a 3-0 lead, before TJHS countered with two runs in the fourth inning. Clinging on to a one run lead, Clippers pitcher Sang Baek came in and held things down in 3+ innings of relief.

JMB looks to hoist their first state championship since 2012 on Saturday when they take on C. Milton Wright High School out of Harford County. Game time is set for 7pm at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, MD.
