Accomack Co. Sheriffs investigating fatal shooting

PAINTER, Va. – The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man was found dead inside a vehicle Wednesday night.

Police say at around 9:15 p.m. they received a report of shots fired on Boggs Road in Painter. On arrival, a male subject was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound inside a vehicle.

The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Alvin Rogers Jr. from Belle Haven, VA.
