Today’s Forecast: April 18, 2019

Tonight will be a mild one as breezy southerly winds keep temperatures in the 60s. Clouds will be on the increase as a cold front slowly approaches.

Friday will be warm once again with highs in the mid and upper 70s. Mostly cloudy skies are expected with windy conditions taking over, especially during the afternoon and evening. Winds could gust to 35 or 40 mph. Scattered showers and storms are most likely late in the day and continuing into the night, but a brief morning or early afternoon shower cannot be ruled out. A “Slight Risk” for severe weather remains in effect with damaging winds and an isolated tornado being the biggest concerns. Right now, the biggest threat for severe weather looks to be just south of Delmarva. Stay tuned for updates, and be sure to download the 47 ABC Weather App.

Saturday will start off with periods of rain and thunderstorms before it slowly starts to clear out. The sky will be partly sunny to mostly cloudy during the afternoon with highs in the upper 60s to near 70. Windy conditions will continue with gusts to 40 mph expected. Easter will be partly sunny and cooler with highs in the low to mid 60s. A few isolated showers are possible as an upper-level low pressure system pushes in behind the cold front.

Monday will have a mix of clouds and sunshine, but the weather will be highly dependent on how fast the low pressure can exit the area. Highs should be near 70, but if the low moves slower than expected, then cloudy and cooler conditions are possible. Tuesday will turn warmer with highs in the 70s under partly sunny skies.

Wednesday becomes cooler with highs in the mid 60s under partly sunny skies. Thursday looks partly sunny and mild with highs in the low 70s.

Have a great night!
