Take Pride in Berlin returns this week
BERLIN, Md. – Some people living in America’s Coolest Small Town have been bitten by the spring cleaning bug this week.
It is all part of an annual event called Take Pride in Berlin Week where people are encouraged to go outside and dedicate a few hours to cleaning up local parks in the area.
The Town of Berlin is asking volunteers to help out with things like planting, weeding and even mulching in places like Stephen Decatur Park and Berlin Falls Park.
Volunteers can also choose to spend their time anywhere they feel needs some attention by reaching out to town officials.
The Berlin Falls Park Coordinator David Deutsch said this is a great chance for people to show some support for their community.
“All three of the park facilities are easily accessible to people in the community and folks want to visit a park that’s safe and clean and that’s part of the focus this week of Take Pride in Berlin,” said Deutsch.
This event kicked off this weekend and it will wrap up on Sunday, April 28.
