Spring Fling Arts and Crafts Fair showcases local artists
SALISBURY, Md. – Over a hundred people gathered at the Annual Spring Fling Arts and Crafts Fair on Sunday.
The annual event hosted by the Salisbury Wicomico Art Council took place at the St. Peters Episcopal Church.
According to Therese Hamilton, the executive director of the Salisbury Wicomico Art Council, the fair gives artists a chance to showcase their unique crafts like handmade soaps, purses and even jewelry.
Tickets purchased at the event will help fund programs by the Art Council as well as grants and scholarships dedicated to supporting the arts.
“It’s just a wonderful opportunity to get people out for a little family event and make some money for the Art Council and support these vendors and artists who have such beautiful work and sometimes it doesn’t get seen or appreciated the way we would like for it to,” said Hamilton.
According to Hamilton, the annual event is also a chance for local businesses to see more foot traffic in the area.
