Salisbury Zoo hosting event designed for “Special Needs Families”
SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury Zoo announced an event, on Tuesday, that will cater towards families with special needs.
A spokesperson says the Zoo is teaming up with Salisbury University Psychology Department students for an after-hours event specifically for children and families with special needs, on May 7 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The event will include, “new sensory-inclusive materials specifically for children with special needs in hopes of assisting families with their trip to the Zoo.” Additionally, “families will be able to attend animal presentations and are asked to explore around the Zoo and try these new sensory materials.”
