Salisbury woman arrested on assault charges

SALISBURY, Md. – A deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Salisbury woman on Saturday after she reportedly became involved in a physical altercation.

Deputies received the report at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, at a residence in the 100 block of Francis Drive in Salisbury. The male victim reported that he and his girlfriend, 23-year-old Samantha Brotzman, were initially involved in a verbal argument when Brotzman began hitting him repeatedly with a closed fist.

The male victim told police that he then went outside, at which point Brotzman followed him and punched another female victim in the face.

Brotzman was subsequently arrested and charged with two counts of second degree assault. Following an initial appearance, Brotzman was held without bond pending a bond review in front of a district court judge.
