Milford Police holding Drug Take Back Day later this month

MILFORD, Del. – The Milford Police Department and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration are teaming up to host another unwanted prescription drug take back day at the end of this month.

On Saturday, April 27th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., citizens can take their unwanted pills to the Milford Police Department, located at 400 Northeast Front Street, for disposal. Please note: sites cannot accept liquids, needles, or sharps; only pills or patches.

This service is free and completely anonymous, no questions asked. This initiative addresses an important public safety and public health issue, as medicines sitting in home cabinets are highly susceptible to diversion, misuse, and abuse.

If you would like more information regarding the disposal of unwanted prescription drugs, or about the April 27th event, you can visit the Take Back Day site here or the Milford Police Department website.
