Milford house fire results in $75,000 in damages

MILFORD, Del. – The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is working to investigate a house fire that broke out in a Milford home Sunday morning.

The Carlisle Fire Company responded to the blaze, which was reported shortly before 10:30 a.m., in the unit block of Brandywine Road in the Shawnee Acres development.

One male occupant was taken to Bayhealth Hospital Sussex Campus for treatment of smoke inhalation. We’re told he is in serious condition.

Deputy Fire Marshals are working to investigate the cause and origin of the fire, which resulted in $75,000 in damages.
