Maryland Fire Marshal investigating house fire in St. Michaels
ST. MICHAELS, Md. – The cause of a Talbot County house fire that resulted in significant damages early Sunday morning is under investigation by the Maryland Fire Marshal’s Office.
The blaze was reported just before 4 a.m., at a house located at 9060 Quail Run Road in St. Michaels.
Approximately 67 firefighters responded to the two alarm fire, which reportedly took two hours to control.
Officials say the fire began in the rear porch area of the home. The cause has not yet been determined, but heavy fire damage has been estimated at $650,000.
