Mardela softball improves to 14-0 with huge win over Old Mill

SALISBURY, Md.- Powered by Grace Barnes on the mound and Logan Genga at the plate, the Mardela Warriors improved to 14-0 with an 8-4 win over Old Mill (MD) on Friday afternoon.

Up by as many as eight, Mardela was able to hold off a late rally from the Patriots in the final innings to keep the undefeated start to the season alive. Genga highlighted the Warriors’ performance at the plate with a bases loaded, two-RBI double that gave Old Mill a deficit too big to overcome.

Barnes finished the day on the mound with 12 strikeouts, allowing just four hits in her complete game outing.
