Harrington teen accused of raping 16-year-old girl

HARRINGTON, Del. – A 17-year-old from Harrington has been charged with raping a girl at a home in Diamond Court Apartments.

Police say they got reports from the 16-year-old victim’s mother on Thursday about a sexual assault that allegedly happened in Diamond Court Apartments in Harrington.

During the course of the investigation police reportedly discovered that the victim and the suspect were both at Diamond Court Apartments and while inside the home the victim was sexually assaulted by the 17-year-old.

Police reportedly arrested the suspect the next day, and the teenager was charged with one count of rape second degree.

He was released to a family member on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
