Former Salisbury pastor sentenced on child pornography charges

LAUREL, Del. – A former pastor has been sentenced to four years in prison on child pornography charges.

36-year-old Cesar Rios-Martinez of Laurel pleaded guilty in February to two counts of dealing in child pornography.

The investigation began in April of 2018 and revealed that during his time as pastor of Iglesia El Espiritu Santo in Salisbury, Rios-Martinez downloaded and shared multiple files of child pornography over the internet during an extended period of time.

A Superior Court judge sentenced Rios-Martinez to four years in prison, followed by five years of probation. He must also register as a Tier II sex offender.
