BERLIN, Md. – An afternoon fire in Berlin swallowed a two story home on Snug Harbor Road on Monday, causing devastating damages.

Nine stations responded to the two-alarm fire just before 1 p.m. Witnesses could see smoke billowing out from the side of the house.

Luckily, no people were injured in this fire but one of the family’s dogs died and their other dog is missing.

It took crews 40 minutes to put out the fire.

A fire marshal is now investigating what sparked this blaze.

The family tells us their missing dog’s name is Boo. He is a Boston Terrier who is black with a white head. He has cataracts, and is not wearing a collar. The family says he is very friendly.

If you think you may have seen Boo, you are asked to call the family at 410-259-3699.
