Concord hands Cape first loss of season; top the Vikings in 2OT
Concord tops Cape Henlopen
LEWES, De. – What a game and what a finish out in Lewes, Delaware Friday night. Undefeated Cape Henlopen played host to Concord and the Vikings looked like they would keep that unbeaten streak alive, going up 2-0 early in the first half.
A Raiders goal would cut the lead to 2-1 heading into the half and in the 70th minute off the corner – Concord would knot this game 2-2.
The first extra period would result in no goals but in the second overtime, Kelly Shelton would be awarded a direct kick for Concord and she would send a strike into the back of the net.
The Raiders hand Cape Henlopen their first loss of the season with the 3-2 double overtime win.
