BREAKING: Man charged in connection to Laurel homicide pleads not guilty

GEORGETOWN, Del. – The man charged with murdering 34-year-old Tia Tucker appeared in court alongside family members Wednesday morning, pleading not guilty.

32-year-old Joseph Beck requested a jury trial and court dates are being set as we speak.

Tucker’s body was found alongside a busy road in Laurel back in early March. Beck was connected to the murder and was tracked down in Stafford County, Virginia and extradited back to Delaware almost two weeks ago.

According to police, Beck faces numerous charges, including murder in the first degree and abuse of a corpse. He is currently being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on over $2 million bond.
