Bennett softball defeats Parkside in 5 innings

SALISBURY, Md. – The Bennett Clippers ran all over the Parkside Rams on Monday, ending the game 12-1 in five innings.

Gena Donalds pitched a brilliant game in the circle for the Clippers. Donalds struck out the first four batters she faced and added on a 2-RBI single to help out Bennett on the scoreboard. Two other Clippers finished the game with two RBI and an extra base hit in the win.

Parkside struggled to get any offense going but did plate a run after a couple of errors allowed a runner to cross the plate.

Bennett did a bulk of their damage in the bottom of the fourth inning by loading the bases with nobody out. Donalds ended the game with a 1-2-3 inning in the top of the fifth.
