Bennett boys lacrosse falls short against Salesianum

DOVER, Del.- For the second straight year, the the James M. Bennett boys lacrosse team dropped to Delaware powerhouse Salesianum 20-7 on Tuesday night.

Sallies would come out of the gate hot, jumping out to a 4-0 lead less than four minutes into the game. The Clippers would have the answer, chopping and chopping away at the lead before eventually tying it at 4-4 before the end of the first quarter.

From that point on, the four-time defending Delaware state champs would outscore 16-3 to end the game, including an 11-2 run in the second quarter.

After their third loss this year, Bennett returns to Bayside play on Wednesday as they look to defend their conference championship.
