Wanted Salisbury man arrested in connection to domestic related assault

LAUREL, Del. – Delaware State Police have arrested a Salisbury man who was wanted on numerous charges stemming from a domestic incident.

On Friday, 22-year-old Steven McCormick Jr. was seen leaving a residence in the 14000 block of Shiloh Church Road in a silver pickup truck. When troopers initiated a traffic stop, McCormick was found lying down in the back seat and was found to be in possession of 124 bags of heroin, one ecstasy pill, and more than $200 in suspected drug money.

McCormick is currently being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on $43,600 cash only bond on a list of new charges and initial warrants, including theft of motor vehicle, malicious interference with emergency communication, offensive touching, criminal mischief, reckless endangering, resisting arrest, vehicular assault, driving without a license, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a counterfeit substance without a prescription, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
