Two women busted for drugs in Kent County
HARTLY, Del. – Two women are behind bars for their connection to a drug-dealing operation in Delaware.
On Thursday, members of the Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit (KDU) and the Kent County Governor’s Task Force responded to the 200 block of Judith Road in an attempt to locate 59-year-old Susan Everett, who they say was involved in the distribution of crack cocaine.
When officers arrived, they located another woman, identified as 50-year-old Kelly Wooters, inside a vehicle parked in the driveway. Wooters was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and was subsequently taken into custody.
Officers located Everett inside the residence, and a search of the residence resulted in the seizure of more than 14 grams of crack cocaine, over $1,000 in suspected drug money, crack cocaine smoking pipes, digital scales, and drug paraphernalia.
Everett was charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine in a tier 2 quantity, possession of crack cocaine in a tier 2 quantity, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is currently being held at the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $26,500 secured bail.
Wooters was charged with possession of crack cocaine and local fugitive capias, as she reportedly had two active capiases out of Kent County. She was issued a $1,500 unsecured bail, but was committed to Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on an outstanding $100 capias bail amount.
