Single family home fire in Salisbury under investigation
SALISBURY, Md. – Fire officials are investigating a single family home fire that resulted in $100,000 in damages on Sunday.
The Fruitland Fire Department responded to the call just after 4:30 p.m., at a home located at 4553 Allen Road. We’re told it took 21 firefighters approximately 18 minutes to control the blaze.
Officials say the blaze began in a bedroom, but the cause is still under investigation.
Jennifer Combs, a witness told 47ABC said, “These houses are so, I guess you could say they’re antique. They’re old, and it’s sad to see with these older houses something tragic like that happen to them, and we just hope everybody had got out safe.”
Anyone with information on this fire should call the Salisbury Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal at 410-713-3780.
