Salisbury women’s lacrosse sinks Meredith (NC), get third win in a row
SALISBURY, Md.- Going on an 8-0 goal run to create an insurmountable lead, the (5) Salisbury University women’s lacrosse team cruised to a 16-7 win over visiting Meredith on Tuesday.
16 minutes into the first half, the Avenging Angels and Gulls would be tied 3-3, and 14 minutes later, at halftime, SU would have a 9-3 lead.
Easton grad Emma Skoglund opened the second half with a goal, and from there, it was coasting to the finish line.
For Salisbury (5-1), Gabby Mongno led the way with a hat trick, and Alexis Strobel dished out four assists.
Coach Jim Nestor’s squad returns to action, Friday March 15th, for a 1:30 p.m faceoff with Plymouth State.
