Police searching for man connected to alleged domestic assault incident
MILLSBORO, Del. – State Police are searching for the man who is wanted in connection to a domestic-related assault and strangulation.
Police responded to a home on Oak Orchard road in Millsboro on Tuesday just before 9 p.m. for a report for an argument that turned violent.
They say the victim was assaulted by her husband, Justin Shifflett of Millsboro, when he grabbed her throat and hit her face.
The victim reportedly tried to call 911 but the suspect smacked the phone out of her hand to keep her from calling.
The suspect then allegedly got into the victims car and took off.
We’re told the victim sustained non life threatening injuries.
Troopers have not been able to find Shifflett, so they’re asking anyone with any information on his whereabouts to call Delaware crime stoppers at 1-800-tip-3333.
