Perdue Stadium outfield deck unveiled to the delight of fans

SALISBURY, Md. – Perdue Stadium now offers fans a 360-degree sight line. The 24-year old Class-A stadium now joins multiple teams in the Sally League with this feature.

“Really gonna help make Perdue Stadium continue to be a modern and vibrant Stadium for the next twenty years into what modern ballparks want today,” said Shorebirds General Manager Chris Bitters.

Bitters tells us this addition will add to the fan experience, giving fans a chance to roam and socialize during games.

“For a lot of the younger fans as were seeing in sports is that there’s really a social aspect of the decks, and the social spaces that are important, particularly to some of the younger fans as they’re becoming your primary fans.”

Fans who attended the grand opening see the new walkway as a real home run.

“When my legs get tired from watching the game, we can stroll around, it’ll be wonderful,” said Shorebird fan Daria Pogan.

“Very nice, I really appreciate it. All these improvements that have been made here and we look forward to using it,” said fan Carol Vaughan.

We’re told this project caps off a string of renovations at Perdue Stadium. For those eager to check it out, you won’t have to wait long. The Shorebirds home opener will be April 11 against the Lakewood Blue Claws.
