New York man arrested on drug charges in Georgetown
GEORGETOWN, Del. – Georgetown Police arrested a New York man Tuesday evening on numerous drug charges following a traffic stop.
Shortly after 9 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on South Dupont Boulevard near Trap Pond Road. After making contact with the driver, 49-year-old Thanh Nguyen of Brooklyn, New York, a search of the vehicle was conducted.
Inside the vehicle, police found 22 pounds of marijuana and 300 THC vape pens.
Nguyen was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 5 quantity, possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 1 quantity, and possession of marijuana. He was later released on $40,260 unsecured bail.
