New immigration center cuts ribbon
SALISBURY, Md. – The ribbon was cut on a brand new immigration facility in Salisbury Saturday, the first of its kind in the area.
The clinic is being run at the Word of Life Church.
This was four years in the making, full of volunteering and training that finally led to the opening of this clinic.
Their goal, aside from helping the local immigrant population, is to expand their clinic into a new building. They will be offering services like helping immigrants with naturalization, undocumented immigrants, and more.
“We have lawyers that can speak with clients that need help. We are here, if we can help them, refer them to a lawyer, or other clinics that’s well experienced,” said Kenson Raymond, a DOJ representative with the Word of Life Church.
The immigration clinic will officially be opened Monday, March 4. They will be open Monday, Wednesday and Saturdays.
