MSP investigating armed robbery, suspect unknown

SALISBURY, Md. – Maryland State Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Wednesday afternoon in Salisbury.

Shortly after 3:30 p.m., troopers were called to the area of Billy Gene Jackson Park in the 1200 block of Jersey Road for a report of an armed robbery. On arrival, troopers met with the 72-year-old male victim, who reported that while he was hitting golf balls into the lake he was approached by an unknown suspect armed with a silver revolver. The suspect then demanded the victim’s wallet and cell phone before fleeing in a black passenger vehicle with the victim’s items.

The suspect was described as a 25-30 year old male, approximately 6’1″ in height.
