MSP investigates early morning crash that killed young woman

PRINCESS ANNE, Md.– Maryland State Police were on the scene of a fatal accident early Tuesday morning along route 13 in Princess Anne.

Police say that around 1:35 AM, a trooper was patrolling along southbound route 13 and Stewart Neck Road when he saw a car in the median.

The driver, a 19 year old woman from Painter, Virginia, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say it appears she was traveling south along Route 13 when, for unknown reasons, she veered off the road and crashed into a heavily wooded section of the median.

The victim’s identity has not been released. We’re told the Accomack County’s Sheriff Office has notified victim’s family.

This incident remains under investigation.
