More details unfold about man arrested in Laurel murder case


LAUREL, Del. –  47 ABC is learning more about the man arrested in connection to the Laurel murder case.

32-year-old Joseph Beck, who is now charged with first degree murder and abuse of a corpse, has other charges pending against him as well.

On March 7th, he was arrested for possession of a controlled substance along with driving with a suspended license. Then, on March 13th, Beck was arrested for driving on a controlled substance in Stafford County in Virginia.

Delaware State Police say Beck is now being held in Virginia and will be extradited back to Delaware.

Police believe Beck killed Tia Tucker sometime between March 6th and 8th. A DSP spokesperson tells 47 ABC, Beck was an acquaintance of Tucker.

The case is still under investigation.
