Man arrested for robbing elderly man

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police arrested a man Monday afternoon after he reportedly robbed an elderly man at a pizza restaurant.

Police say that around 3:30 p.m., a 71-year-old man was ordering food at the front counter of Paliseno’s Pizza when 41-year-old Henry Fordham forcefully took the man’s wallet and fled the business.

After a search of the area, Fordham was located in the area of S. State Street and Loockerman Street. He initially fled from police on foot, but was caught and taken into custody a short time later. He then reportedly continued disobeying police instructions and was believe to be under the influence of an unknown substance.

Fordham was charged with second degree robbery, theft under $1500, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct, and was later released on his own recognizance.
