Magnolia man arrested on drug charges following search warrant

MAGNOLIA, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested a Magnolia man on Thursday following the execution of a search warrant at his residence.

Members of the Kent County Drug Unit and the Kent County Governor’s Task Force executed the warrant in the 1200 block of Peachtree Run Road, at around noon. The subject of the search warrant, 39-year-old Michael Cox, was taken into custody, and two children were also found inside the residence.

Officials seized 285.25 grams of marijuana, 126 THC dosage units, two 1000 mg “Lean” bottles, two 100 mg promethazine with codeine bottles, 22 oxycodone hydrochloride pills, 8 oxycodone 15 mg pills, and more than $1,000 in suspected drug money.

Cox was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a tier 2 quantity, possession of a controlled substance in a tier 1 quantity, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on $45,500 unsecured bond.
