Jackson’s big day gives CSD their first home win of the season

CAMBRIDGE, Md.- Behind five goals from Dajawan Jackson and Josh Blades’ four, the Cambridge South-Dorchester Vikings defeated the Salisbury School 16-4. The Vikings improve to 2-0 on the year as the Dragons fall to 0-4.

From the opening face off the Vikings were on fire, opening up the game on a 11-0 run. During that run Jackson and Blades put up a hat trick, while Brice Bromwell, Sam Slacum, and Ethan Carmine each scored one. With 5:22 left in the first half, the Salisbury School would get on the board as Patrick Conway put goal past the keeper. Cambridge took a 12-1 lead into the half.

In the second half the Dragons would try and close the gap a little as Lucas Miller netted two goals along with another from Conway. It was too little too late for the Salisbury School as the Vikes would put up four goals of their own in the second half to hold on against the Dragons.

CSD will look to remain undefeated when they welcome Queen Anne’s into town next Wednesday the 3rd. the Salisbury School will try and get in the win column for the first time this season when they host William Penn out of Delaware next Tuesday.
