Information sought on burglary suspect in Felton
FELTON, Del. – Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person who broke into a Felton gas station and attempted to several items.
According to the report Troopers responded to a commercial alarm at the Goose Creek gas station located at 11425 S. DuPont Highway at about 4:13 A.M. on Saturday, March 23. After reviewing surveillance footage of the burglary, Troopers noticed a white male wearing a hoodie tight to his face and dark pants using an unknown tool to break glass and enter the gas station. Police say that while the suspect was inside he stole several boxes of cigarettes and damaged an ATM machine while unsuccessfully trying to break into the machine.
The suspect then fled on foot and was last seen in the area of Memorial Drive and Sanford Street in Felton.
The cigarettes were recovered near the scene and police are asking anyone with information about the burglary to contact Corporal Spanier at Troop 3 by calling 302-698-8548 or by calling Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
