Delmarva Veteran Builders recognize Nat’l. Women in Construction week
SALISBURY, Md. – In honor of Women in Construction Week, which is part of National Women’s History Month, Delmarva Veteran Builders recognized the leading ladies who make up an integral part of their workforce.
We’re told the week-long celebration upholds its namesake by not only recognizing women as a viable asset to the mainly male-dominated industry, but also shed light on the exciting opportunities the field offers to women.
The ladies 47 ABC spoke with Thursday say working for DVB has given them the chance to bring something new to the table.
Kathyrn Ellis is a senior project manager for Delmarva Veteran Builders.
She said, “It’s a male dominated field and I think women bring a whole new market to the existing construction world between our nurturing atmosphere and attention to detail, coordination and communication.”
The ladies tell us the next project they are most excited to start work on is the Pinehurst Elementary School renovation.
