Crabbers fall to Southern in 1A state semis

COLLEGE PARK, Md.- Finishing their season with a record of 24-3, the Crisfield Crabbers fell to Southern high school 66-52. CHS made it to the state tournament for the first time since 2014.

In a back and forth first half the Rams took the 36-27 lead at the break. Crabbers junior CorTrey Fontaine left late in the second quarter after committing his 4th foul.

Midway through the third quarter down as many as 12, the Crabbers would catch fire behind a dangerous inside game by senior Justin Cohen. Cohen had 20 total points in the game and was able to lead his team within an even score 45-45, knocking down a three from the outside.

From there the Rams would slowly pull away after two Crabbers foul out as they fall 66-52 at College Park.
