Conference held to promote justice on International Women’s Day
SALISBURY, Md. – Friday was International Women’s Day, and at Salisbury University they used the celebration for their annual International Women’s Day Conference.
This year’s conference was called “Seeking Justice.”
Guest speakers were on hand to discuss topics that ranged from political participation to discussions on early childhood care.
The goal of the conference today was to explore ideas to create and promote greater justice for all.
“It just shows that you can have an impact on the world, what you do, it matters. And you can also become an example to younger women, and young girls who are coming up behind you,” said Londan Showell, a junior at Salisbury University.
International Women’s Day is celebrated every March 8th.
