Body of missing Wesley College student found in Silver Lake

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are conducting a death investigation after a body was recovered from Silver Lake around 9 a.m. Sunday morning.

The body has been identified as Erick Acevedo-Palencia. Acevedo Palencia was reported missing after he was last seen leaving a Wesley College dorm on February 12th, 2019.

We’re told someone discovered the body near the shore line of Lake Club Apartments and called police.

Dover Police and the Fire Department removed the body and it has been sent to the medical examiner’s office for further investigation.
