Winter Spirit Stroll a success in Princess Anne

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Saturday in downtown Princess Anne wine lovers tickled their taste buds at the Winter Spirit Stroll.

The event was a tasting and touring event of different wines and spirits organized by Main Street Princess Anne.

Tasters had the chance to also tour downtown businesses.

We’re told its an event designed to promote tourism and economic development the Somerset County town.

Carrie Samis, Manager of Main St. Princess Anne said, “We’re in a historic small town. It’s a lovely place. We have a lot of businesses downtown, but not everybody has been here. We want to provide reasons for people to visit our town and for people to visit our businesses.”

We’re told Saturday was the first of many events Main Street plans to host to promote small businesses in the up-and-coming downtown district.
