WiHi coasts to back-to-back Bayside basketball title
SALISBURY, Md.- For the second straight year, the WiHi Indians are the 2019 boys basketball Bayside champs. It was a lot closer than last year’s Bayside title game, but the same result; with the Tribe cruising over Easton, 88-63 on Tuesday night.
Behind a combined 64 points from Jaden Baker (23), Jayson Handy (21) and Dorian Stevens (20), the Indians got out to an early lead and never looked back.
For Easton, a game-high 25 points from Lamont Powell wouldn’t be enough as they lose in the Bayside championship for the second straight year.
WiHi and Easton do have a chance to meet in the Maryland 2A Basketball playoffs, take a look at the brackets here.
