UPDATE: Victims Identified in Nelsonia Fire
The fire has been ruled arson by investigators; cause of deaths not related to fire

Nelsonia, Va. – The victims who lost their lives in a fire that took place on February 1st in Accomack County have been identified by The Office of the Medical Examiner in Norfolk.
Officials in Virginia say 24-year-old Wilson L. Esclanate-Perez, 26-year-old Alejandra Gonzalez-Miranda, and a three year old female are the three victims who tragically lost their lives in a fire on the 28000 block of Johnson Court. The Virginia State Police are currently investigating the fire as an arson.
According to the report the department’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Chesapeake Field Office is continuing to follow a number of leads related to the deaths and subsequent arson of the mobile home in Nelsonia. The Medical Examiner confirmed a previous report that the three victims suffered additional injuries un-related to the fire prior to the arson taking place.
