Tonight will be very cold and clear, as lows drop down into the mid to upper 10s. Sunday will consist of increasing clouds and milder readings in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
A new system arrives on Sunday night, which will bring a period of a wintry mix with a gradual switch to rain late. Areas towards the north especially Dover will likely see all snow or wintry mix until Monday morning. Temperatures on Sunday night will fall into the low 30s. Snowfall amounts so far are showing about an inch for Dover, with areas towards the south such as Georgetown with amounts of about half an inch.
Monday will consist of rain for all of Delmarva, with a wintry mix early for northern areas. A break of the rain is possible in the afternoon but temperatures will remain chilly in the upper 30s to low 40s. Monday night will see a wintry mix possible for Dover, while everyone else will continue to deal with periods of rain, as lows dip slightly into the low to mid 30s. Tuesday will be another wet and cloudy day with all rain; as temperatures climb into the upper 40s to low 50s.
Breezy conditions take over on Wednesday, as skies clear but temperatures will remain above average in the upper 40s to low 50s. Valentine’s Day will be mostly sunny and pleasant, in the upper 40s to low 50s. Clouds roll in on Friday, bringing scattered showers late, while readings become mild in the mid to upper 50s. The rain continues until Saturday morning, giving way to partly cloudy skies late, with temperatures in the low to mid 50s.
