Today’s Forecast: February 19, 2019
*A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for a majority of the peninsula from Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.*
Clouds will continue to increase tonight ahead of our next weather maker. Temperatures will drop into the upper 20s and lower 30s.
Expect snow to arrive during the early morning hours, continuing into the midday hours before quickly turning over to rain. Some sleet may mix in as well. All of Delmarva will see plain rain by the evening. Most of us will receive between 1-2 inches of snow before the changeover, but this is a quick moving system and warmer air will move in fast, so accumulations should remain on the lighter side of the totals. Stay tuned and be prepared for slippery roadways.
Showers will continue into Thursday morning with highs rising into the upper 50s by the afternoon with some clearing possible. Friday will be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the lower 50s.
Expect scattered showers to move in for the second part of the day Saturday, and temperatures will be in the lower 50s. Sunday will be milder with showers in the morning then possibly some clearing with mild highs in the mid 60s.
Monday and Tuesday will be mostly sunny and cooler with highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
Have a great night!
