“The Lab” set to open, provide basketball training for Eastern Shore
PARSONSBURG, Md.- A new, one of a kind basketball training center is set to open on the Eastern Shore.
The Lab, an idea cultivated by two, local DI basketball players, will provide individual and group basketball training for anyone ages kindergarten to college.
The facility, started by former Crisfield High School standouts Andre Collins and Amber Elliott, are aiming to enhance the skills of those who want to get better in the area. The idea had been around for a few years, but with the recent construction of their state-of-the-art gym in Parsonsburg, they’ll be able to take it to the next level.
Collins, who won the 2001 Maryland State title with Crisfield, played for the University of Maryland, winning the 2002 national title, before transferring to Loyola (MD) and becoming a decorated overseas player.
Elliott, who attended Crisfield and Holly Grove went on to play collegiately at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Both of these household names hope to pass down what they learned through their experience to the next generation of young hoopers.
