Sussex Tech wins fifth in a row, downs Caesar Rodney on the road
CAMDEN, Del.- Sussex Tech boys basketball was able to weather an early 14-point deficit, defeating Caesar Rodney on the road 71-64.
CR would jump out of the gate on a 17-3 run, fueled by first quarter points from Jaden Corbett. Corbett finished the first half with 21 points, making five threes en route to his team-high 25 points.
The other way, Sussex Tech would be led by their two-headed monster of Skylar Johnson and Ricky Kane. The Ravens applied a full-court press in the second quarter and didn’t look back, going into halftime down one.
Johnson finished with a game-high 20 points and numerous steals, while Kane dropped 20 before leaving the game with an injury.
Tech extends their win streak to five-games, moving to 12-7 overall, while CR drops to 13-4, suffering their only conference loss to a team not named Dover.
