Snow Hill opens the Peake Challenge with a thrilling win

WYE MILLS, Md.- Behind a game high 21 points from Jay Ayers and Shi’Quan Williams 14, The Snow Hill Eagles moved to 11-9 with the 60-54 win over Colonel Richardson (9-8).

The Eagles started out hot, jumping out to a 5 lead after the first quarter and extending it to as many as 12. With under 3 minutes to play in the half, the Colonels would go on a 12-2 run to end the half to tie the game at 28. Lorenzo Turner led all scores at the half with 13 points.

In the second half the teams would exchange lead changes with the largest lead being 6. Snow Hill would take a two point lead with just under 3 minutes to play and never look back. Fouls and turn overs would prove to be too much for the Colonels as CR falls to Snow Hill 60-54.

Snow Hill will look to continue their win streak next Friday the 15th when they host Pocomoke. CR will look to get back in the win column when they travel to Cambridge to take on the Vikings next Tuesday the 12th.
