Riverfront Theatre undergoing major renovations in downtown Milford
MILFORD, Del. – A major renovation project is underway at the riverfront theatre in downtown Milford.
They’ve already started doing some work in the past two weeks, as they will have a brand new lobby and bathroom. The bathroom will now have handicap access.
We’re told their shows are up to par but their facilities are inadequate.
The theatre is completely ran by volunteers called Second Street Players and their Vice President, Daniel Marabello, says their theatre not only brings culture to the city, but also economic growth. “By bringing people into town, we hope that we’ll enable to be invested in to stores and by having shows multiple times in the day, we hope to attract more people, and facilities improve are a major reason to come,” Marbello says.
They plan to have the renovation project complete by the end of March. During that time period, they are only losing two plays, which will be offsite.
