Protesters rally in Salisbury over President Trump’s emergency declaration

SALISBURY, Md. – Protesters gathered in streets across the country as well as in Salisbury.

Many of the men and women in Salisbury and in other parts of the US said that they are concerned about President Donald Trump’s national emergency declaration.

People in the crowd said that they wanted to make it clear that there are people on the shore who are against any policy that dedicates resources to the construction of a wall along the US-Mexico border.

“We’re in force here to demonstrate against Trump’s fake declaration of a national emergency to build his racist wall and his attempts to undermine democracy in the United States,” said Toby Perkins, a member of the Indivisible Worcester MD.

Meanwhile, there were some people around the crowd who were not participating who believe a wall is exactly what the country needs.

“It is good to make the wall because first of all because you know under America there are many illegal people that go to America,” said Lucas Joe, a local resident.
