Proposed legislation seeks to benefit Maryland businesses
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Legislators are looking to support businesses in Maryland with the More Opportunities for Marylanders Act.
According to legislators, Senate Bill 174 brings several benefits for those who create more job opportunities in the state – benefits like a ten year tax credit, the possibility for an added $6 million dollars in tax credits, as well as allowing all state property taxes exempted.
“Trying to find ways to expand economic opportunities not only on the lower shore, Baltimore City and Prince George’s County and western Maryland it is a great idea,” said Delegate Carl Anderton, Jr. who represents legislative District 38B.
“Hopefully, my colleagues will jump on board with us and move this thing forward,” said Anderton, Jr.
Anderton, Jr. also said cities like Salisbury could see more businesses in their area if this bill is passed.
