BERLIN, Md. – A Princess Anne man is currently behind bars after Maryland State Police received a tip that a vehicle being driven by two armed suspects involved in CDS distribution was on its way to the Ocean Downs Casino.

Troopers from the Berlin Barrack, with help from Ocean Downs Security, were able to locate the vehicle on Casino grounds and subsequently located and identified the vehicle occupants. After identifying the driver as 45-year-old Robert Lee Elmore, it was learned that he was wanted on a Worcester County Grand Jury Indictment for possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

An Ocean City Police Department K-9 sniff of the vehicle yielded a positive alert for CDS, and a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 15 baggies of cocaine, approximately 9 grams of marijuana, and approximately 6 grams of crack cocaine.

Elmore was arrested and charged with possession of CDS with the intent to distribute not marijuana, possession of CDS not marijuana, and possession of marijuana. He is currently behind held on $5,000 bond on the listed charges and without bond pending a hearing for the indictment.
